HOW DOES IT WORK IN PRACTICE

1. Once everyone has agreed to mediation (I can help with this), I’ll find a time and date that suits everyone) And give everyone information about what to expect and how to prepare.

2. Most commercial mediations can be resolved within a day. Once we’ve established that everyone present has the authority to resolve the dispute, each party will very often make a short statement outlining the issue they want to address.

3. I’ll then confer with each party privately to get a clear understanding of their concerns, never disclosing privileged information between disputants or to any third party.

4. After that it’s a matter of finding the mutual interests at the heart of the dispute and working towards a resolution.
